Alex Thompson served most recently as chief communications officer for Thomson Reuters, the respected information software company and home to the world's most trusted global news business, In the role he also led Purpose, Government & Regulatory Affairs and the Thomson Reuters Social Impact Institute, which is responsible for setting and implementing TR's global ESG strategy.
Alex was previously vice president of Brand Stewardship & Impact for Recreational Equipment, Inc, the largest consumer co-operative in the U.S., recognized for the impact of #OptOutside. In that role he led communications, government affairs, sustainability, philanthropy, local marketing and content.
Alex started his career at Edelman, where he spent more than a decade in London, Asia Pacific and latterly the U.S.
